The evaluation, which includes sewage collection services, sewage treatment, water supply and adequate destination of solid residues placed Salto in the 7th position among large counties in the country, with populations over 100 thousand people.

Salto scored 100 for sewage treatment, which is operated by CONASA Sanesalto, adequate destination of solid residues and water supply, placing the city among those that are moving towards universalization. Final score was 499.30 out of the maximum score of 500. County sewage collection services scored 99.30.

The analysis showed that the categories (On the way to Universalization, Commitment, Effort and First Steps), which obtained the highest scores, have the largest proportion of counties with a County Basic Sanitation plan, as in the case of Salto.
