Conasa Group concession, lasting for 13 years, will replace more than 90,000 lighting points with LED technology

On November 24, 2022, the new operation phase of the Luz de Belém Concessionaire began in Belém do Pará. Currently, it is responsible for the modernization, maintenance, and management of the public lighting park in the capital of Pará. By doing so, it is initiating the preparation of innovation technologies of smart cities.

Since June of 2022, through the anticipation of the public lighting maintenance activity, the Concessionaire carried out 24,325 maintenance services in the city's public lighting, in addition to participating in the ornamental and decorative lighting of the Círio de Nazaré, which is the biggest festival in the State held in October.

With the beginning of this new phase, in addition to the number of the call center to serve the population at 0800-042-0971, the Concessionaire made available more communication channels for receiving complaints about lighting failures through calls on the website www.luzdebelem.com.br and the APP Belém Iluminação Pública, available for Android devices.

The concession lasts for 13 years and will replace, in up to 2 years, more than 90,000 lighting points with LED technology, which should lead to a reduction of, at least, 46% in the municipality's energy consumption, in addition to bringing more security to the population with the reduction of dark spots and shadows in the city.

The modernization project also includes special lighting for 41 prominent tourist spots that will receive artistic lighting and telemanagement technology, enabling full remote control of lighting fixtures.
