Infraestruture is projected to provide services to eight neighborhoods from uptown Maceió.
The Sewage Treatment Plant of Caçadores, being built by Conasa in Maceió, through Sanema, a special purpose company, is due to be concluded in December of this year. Current work includes the construction of three tanks and a 493-meter long trunk collector, through which effluents from the Reginaldo and Mundaú Basins will be sent to the Caçadores sewage treatment plant.
Sewage treatment at ETE Caçadores is characterized by a Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor and an Anoxic Reactor, followed by a Secondary Decanter. Treatment is done through a biological pathway, with organic matter removal efficiency over 90%. ETE infrastructure is designed to provide services to eight neighborhoods from uptown Maceió and a housing expansion of up to 130 thousand people, which may occur in the period of 30 years.
