Sporting event commemorates 30 years of Sertões and the bicentennial of the Independence of Brazil with the greatest itinerary in history

Conasa, an infrastructure holding company with operations in sanitation, public lighting, and toll roads, in the five regions of the country, sponsored the Waste Management action in Vila dos Sertões, in Palmas/TO, on September 2 and 3, during Sertões BRB.

The place was a space for acquaintanceship and rest for Rally competitors, with an area for interaction between the community and the participating teams. The operation resulted in the collection of 1,375 kilos of recyclable materials, including cardboard, plastic, aluminum, styrofoam, and glass.

The initiative generated income for the local community, involving the work of the Association of Collectors and Recyclable Materials Collectors of the Northern Region of Palmas, formed by 15 families responsible for sorting and disposing of generated waste.
